The Four Astrology Points I Use to Build Personal Brands

(originally published on Substack)

All of my client discovery calls (and now inquiry form) start with one key question:

ā€œWhat are your big three?ā€

Not because it’s cute astrology small talk, but because your chart reveals so much about:

  • your needs

  • your emotional landscape

  • how you process the world

  • and, from a branding perspective, the full spectrum of potential we get to tap into together

But once we move past the discovery phase and into the deeper identity work, I shift into the four placements that consistently give me the clearest blueprint for a personal brand that feels natural, cohesive, and unmistakably you:

  • Your Rising sign (how you’re naturally perceived)

  • Your Midheaven / MC (your most magnetic public identity + purpose)

  • Your MC’s planetary ruler (the lens through which your calling expresses itself)

  • Your Sun (your lifelong creative narrative)

Today I want to walk you through this framework using my own chart, so you can see how these four archetypes shape not just aesthetics or tone, but the deeper identity and direction of a brand.

01. Rising Sign: Your Brand’s First Impression

Your Rising sign is the entry point into your world.
It’s the immediate feeling people get when they encounter your work: the color palette, the tone, the energy that sets your brand’s emotional temperature.

Your Rising sign should influence your brand design because it reveals what is already authentic to you.

I’m a Leo Rising, which means my brand naturally carries themes of:

  • warmth, radiance, and recognizability

  • storytelling as a love language

  • creativity that feels generous and expressive

  • aesthetics that lean bold rather than understated

Leo Rising isn’t about shouting; it’s about shining. It’s leading with heart.

This is why my branding isn’t ā€œprofessional distance.ā€ It’s more come sit with me, let me show you what I see.

02. Midheaven / MC: Your Public Identity & Long-Term Purpose

If the Rising sign is the first impression, the MC is the long-term story of your career and the role you’re here to embody. I wrote a full Substack on the MC and personal branding, so consider this the next layer.

My MC is in Taurus.

Taurus MC is the builder of tangible beauty. The curator. The craftsperson.
The one who prioritizes longevity over trends.
It explains so much about my work:

  • I create brands meant to last, not be replaced every season.

  • My work is rooted in refinement, texture, and timeless design language.

  • I’m drawn to slow, intentional, sensual aesthetics — art, ritual, the feeling of something well-made.

  • I’m obsessed with systems, brand ecosystems, and long-term creative architecture.

Taurus MC doesn’t need speed. It wants beauty, reliability, and resonance. When people describe Lunaria as calming, grounded, or timeless… that’s my MC speaking.

03. The Ruler of Your MC: The Essence Behind the Career

The planetary ruler of your MC is crucial.
It describes how you’re meant to work, the emotional lens, the creative process, and the soul of your brand.

You can find what planet traditionally rules each sign below:

Aries — Mars

Taurus — Venus

Gemini — Mercury

Cancer — Moon

Leo — Sun

Virgo — Mercury

Libra — Venus

Scorpio — Mars

Sagittarius — Jupiter

Capricorn — Saturn

Aquarius — Saturn

Pisces — Jupiter

My MC is in Taurus, and Taurus is ruled by Venus, so Venus becomes the ruler of my public image.

And my Venus is in Pisces in the 8th house.

This single placement explains the emotional and aesthetic texture of Lunaria:

  • my intuition-led process

  • my dreamlike, romantic aesthetic preferences

  • my love of symbolism, mythology, archetypes, and the unseen

  • why spirituality and design are never separate categories in my world

Venus in Pisces creates from resonance, empathy, and imagination.

04. The Sun: Your Lifelong Creative Story

Your Sun is the core narrative you’re here to express.
It’s not necessarily the front-facing brand, it’s the engine that keeps everything running and the lens from which you build the brand.

I’m a Capricorn Sun, with a full Capricorn stellium behind it.

Capricorn is the builder, the strategist, the keeper of timelines and structure.
It gives my brand:

  • its emphasis on frameworks and clarity

  • the ability to turn mysticism into methodology

  • the operational backbone behind every offering

People often see the sparkle first (Leo Rising), the beauty second (Taurus MC), the enchantment third (Venus in Pisces)… and only then notice how much structure is quietly holding everything up.

That’s Capricorn.

How to Use This Framework for Your Own Brand

If you want to explore your brand through astrology, pull up your chart and start with these four questions:

1. Rising Sign

What first impression am I meant to give?
What’s the visual or energetic front door of my brand?

2. MC

What is the long-term story of my career?
What am I here to be known for?

3. MC Ruler

Where is the soul of my work?
How do I naturally create, lead, and succeed?

4. Sun

What core message, identity, or truth must my brand always honor?

Your chart already gave you the blueprint.
Your brand is simply the design.

Shameless Plug 🫧

If your chart already wrote the blueprint for your brand, the Brand Kits for the Signs are the aesthetic translation. Fonts, palettes, imagery, all curated to help you show up in the world the way your astrology always intended. Your energy is iconic. Your visuals should be, too.

With love,
Daniela
